Door Trim Panel Assembly / Injection-molded Parts Design
Compilation of fuel vehicle front/rear door trim panel design cases
We compiled front/rear door-trim panel assembly design cases for multiple fuel-vehicle models. Focusing on the structural design and process realization of core parts such as the door panel body, armrest, map pocket and speaker, the compilation summarized door-panel development experience oriented to low cost and high perceived quality.
--- Project Highlights ---
1. Door-panel system integration: Coordinating the layout and assembly relationships of the door body, armrest, map pocket, speaker grille and function-switch panel to ensure ergonomics and perceived quality.
2. Low-cost process realization: Through optimized injection process and combinations of grain/slush-molding schemes, we guaranteed soft-touch feel and appearance quality while controlling cost.
3. Commonality & platformization: Summarizing typical structures of door-panel clips, limiters and water-proof film into cross-model reusable design modules.
4. Perceived-quality improvement: Establishing targeted control plans for splits, step differences and gas-assisted molding defects to enhance door-panel refinement.
